OUTSIDE

Well I realized that my summer wardrobe will only be shorts and t-shirts. We will be spending all hours outside bc this little boy of mine is just that... all BOY! He is only happy outside and boy did he love this weekend. Saturday we went to play golf with daddy, came home and were outside until it was time for dinner. Daddy and jimbo pressure washed our house so we sat and played in the yard with deedee all afternoon. Sunday daddy mowed the grass and that was extremely entertaining to little man. He wanted to be right beside daddy the whole time! So it looks like we will be needing lots of sunscreen this spring/summer bc this family is going to be outside!

Farm Weekend

We headed back down to the farm this weekend and I must say it was perfect! This was the first trip down where Whit could walk. I laugh because I could not pack for this boy for the farm. He grew out of his overalls and we need to get more. He doesn't have clothes to wear at the farm! He was absolutely in heaven. I have never seen a happier boy. He went and stood at the door to go outside from the time he woke up until bedtime. I cannot tell you how many time I looked at him and thought how lucky we are to have a place like this for a boy to be a boy. He loved everything about the weekend and was so sad when it was time to go home. He is already following in his daddys footsteps of procrastinating on Sunday afternoon when it is time to leave.  He played hard, slept hard and ate a ton. What more could a boy ask for! The weather was perfect! Thank you Lord for your beautiful creation that we can surround ourselves with and enjoy!

Doctors Visit

We went for our well visit this morning. Whit was so good at the doctor today! I really dread going bc it is just a nightmare trying to keep him occupied and happy. But he was so sweet and entertained today, at least until the doctor came in :)
He is just getting so big that I cant belive it. I see him sitting on the table wondering where my baby went! He brings this mama smiles all the time though and I love his belly more than anything. We weigh 26.2 lbs  (70th%) and 31.5 in(60th%).

15 months

I almost forgot to do this post! He turned 15 mo on the 22nd of Feb and its already March 1st! oh well. I cannot believe he is getting so big. I dont know why but 15 mo just sounds old to me. He is starting to do so many things. He jabbers a whole lot more but still doesnt say exact words. Should i be worried? He walks around like he is a big kid everywhere we go. He would much rather walk places than me carry him. This can slow down a process significantly but oh well. He is very coordinated doing things. He plays well by himself but is definitely more aware of where I am if I am not in the room. He loves routine and has learned our night routine perfectly. He knows after dinner to walk to the bath, after pjs are on go to the kitchen to get milk, when I say lets go night night and read he walks into his room, after books we brush our teeth and he hands me his cup then i say night night and i love you and he lays down. Its so cute! He can also spot a truck from a mile away and tells me all about it.
We will go to his check up soon so I am not sure of his weight or height but he wears 18 mo clothes. Size 5 maybe 5.5 shoes.
Eating is still a nightmare! He just doesnt like anything. I am not really worried but I just wish he would try things. He has gotten really good at feeding himself applesauce and yogurt so thats all he wants to eat. Sometimes he will eat hummus on crackers. He is just really picky. He does a good job of telling you no though when you show him something. It helps me not waste food :) He knows that the applesauce is in the fridge and around dinner walks to it and wants me to open it.
He is sleeping pretty good. We are on one nap a day pretty much. Sometimes on the weekends I give him 2 but at school he only gets one. He is tired bc he is not a 2 hour napper. He sleeps good at night right now though so that is good. He was waking up for a 2 week period around 5:45 every morning ready to go but thankfully I think we are past that and are back to 6:30.
He is soo much fun right now bc he understands things more and is just developing his personality. Love this 15 mo old!

Zoo!

Yesterday I took Whit to the zoo for the first time! It was so nice outside so I decided it was the perfect time. It was not crowded at all so I let whit just walk around on his own. I think that was his favorite part :) But he did love the tiger, ducks and turtles a lot! I think we are going to spend a lot of time at the zoo this spring! Thank you Deedee and Jimbo for our family pass!



Valentines

Our valentines day was nothing out of the ordinary. I love my valentines more than anything and I cannot imagine life without either one! Whit has a class party and sent valentines to each of his friends. I just loved opening his bag of valentines last night. Nate and I got a precious valentine from Whit that he made. We spent our valentine evening visiting with close friends at the hospital celebrating their brand new valentine.

Weekend Roundup

Not much to report around here but I have a few pictures from the weekend. The highlight was Harper Kate turning 1! I am sure Courtney will recap at some point. She loved her brithday! After singing happy birthday she let out a little shout and loved her cupcake! HK is one special girl! Saturday night Whit spent the night with Deedee and Jimbo. He had a great time and we enjoyed dinner out with friends! Oh Whit did get his first real hair cut Thursday but unfortunately it was not such a great experience so there are no pictures to show for this!
