Update

Well just to update on "school".... we have not made it through one full week yet. 2 weeks ago I got a call to come pick him up bc he had a flea on him(that is a whole other story that I don't want to talk about). So we missed one day of school then. Last week I got a call on Wednesday that he had 3 bad diapers before 12 and the rule is that he has to be free for 24 hours. So apparently we had some bug and he was "sick" until Saturday. He did not feel bad at all but we could not get the diapers under control :)
Thankfully mom kept him Thursday and Friday Mrs Marion came!!! I was so happy to see her and she was thrilled to see her "Whit Bug". So I am praying for a full week at school bc he NEEDS to get used to it! He apparently is not the friendliest child and would prefer to play by himself. He cries a lot so we really need to get used to our new normal.
On another note, daddy was out of town all weekend and we missed him so much! But we did get to spend lots of time with Cookie and played hard with mom. He is the happiest child when he is playing by himself :) I read a book to him this weekend with a dog in it and he says the "d" sound every time you turn to that page!!

9 months

Whit is 9 months old! Such a big boy! He is so funny and I feel like his personality is coming out. He is a very serious baby when he is not just at home with us. He observes everything and is very aware of people. It is really funny to watch. At home he giggles and plays but as soon as we go somewhere he becomes calm and quiet. He is still eating about the same that he was at 8 months. I have really started trying to introduce big boy food though. He does not love it all but we are working on it. He does like cheerios, baby goldfish and puffs. We need to work on the sippy cup some more too! He finally got another tooth. One of his top front teeth finally popped through the skin this weekend. These teeth are giving us fits! They make him feel so bad.
He is wearing 18 month in pajamas but in most things probably a 12 month would fit. I am really having a hard time knowing sizes bc the legs for 18 month are so long but 12 month just won't do. He is all over the place and can get from one point to another in the blink of an eye. He can now walk with the push toy around the den. He also let go and stood by himself the other day for a few seconds! I wonder if he is going to walk soon?! His consonant sounds are coming out a little more now. He says the  "d" sound well but doesn't put it with a word or anything. I am trying really hard to get him to say dada. He is growing up so fast and is more precious every day! These pictures are terrible but its the best I can do! Maybe I will try again later. We go to the doctor next week for our 9 month check up.

Happy Face

One of the funniest parts about Whit being at school is picking him up. It is funny to me to see what he has on. I take a change of clothes obviously but 9 times out of 10 he has messed that outfit up too. He is such a happy boy when I get him and clearly he does not care what he has on but i think it is hilarious! This week we are 1 for 4 in coming home in the same clothes we went in. Last week I think we were 2 for 5. It makes me so happy to know that he is thrilled when mommy gets him at the end of a day!

The one day this week he came home in what he was sent in

This was the 2nd day of school and he was in the stroller when i got there and i honestly did not recognize him!

Changes

I forgot last week to blog about the changes that we went through! So whit started school(i refuse to call it day care) last week. I had a lot of anxiety about this and to be honest I couldn't believe that I was sending my child to school. I always assumed I would be able to be at home but this is the real world and money does not just grow on trees. So up until last week we were blessed with Mrs Marion. She was so precious and I am so thankful for her bc she loved Whit so much. She came to our house 3 days a week. I could not have asked for anyone better. I think I was having a harder time thinking about not having her than I was with actually sending whit to school! We both cried when she left!   But all this said whit is now in school 5 days a week and he has been fine! His teachers are wonderful and I love where he is. I miss Marion so much and I told her that she would have to come keep Whit at least once a month  just so we can see her but this is a new chapter and it is all going to be fine! I think Whit will learn so much from being around other kids so much and he will hopefully be able to adapt to new situations better! There have been no tears when I leave him in the mornings so that has been great!

I would not have changed anything about the 4 years that have taken us from Kamalame Cay to Port st Joe :)

HK

We loved getting to spend so much time with Harper Kate at the beach. This little girl is so precious and we love her so much. I am amazed at the way Courtney and Jarod have handled every step with her and I know they are the best parents that HK could ever ask for. I know I have said it in the past but if you need an encouraging blog to read please take the time to read the journey with this little blessing. HK has probably touched more people in her few months of life than I ever have and that in itself is a miracle that the Lord placed in our lives. Click here to read her blog

Beach Week

We just got back from a wonderful week at the beach. We are so thankful for our annual beach trip with my family. This year we went to Port St Joe. It was a great trip! It was our first full week vacation with Whit and I will say that I now need a vacation from my vacation. Life will never be as relaxing as it was without children :) We would not have it any other way but a week at the beach with a baby is exhausting! We enjoyed spending time with my family(we missed MM who started her first job!) Whit loved the water more than the sand so we were glad to have his baby pool, a pretty gulf and the great pool where we stayed. We had tons of daddy time which was so fun! Oh and the one thing we could not have done without was Whits sunglasses! He HATES the sun in his pretty blue eyes and it was hilarious that he loved the sunglasses so much! Thank you Cookie and Doc for a fun week. Now here are plenty of pictures!
