A summary

I have no creative blog titles bc I am really just summarizing what is going on with us lately. I am so boring! But life with these 2 little boys is anything but boring. I feel like we go 100 mph all the time. I do not think life will slow down any time soon. Whit is just funny. He is very much a two and half year old and we are working very hard on discipline and mainly listening. He is very emotional and will have crying spells but they are getting much better! He has such a sweet spirit and I hope it sticks with him. He is so fun and laughs all the time. We are no longer mommy and daddy but mom and dad! What is that about?! He is way too young. Nate and I tried to keep changing but we were unsuccessful so anytime he is telling us something its mom and dad. We are definitely at the I want to do it myself stage which leaves me frustrated and impatient. Its so hard but I am trying really hard to let him do things. He loves to watch Mickey Mouse which leads me to our fun weekend last weekend! Doc called months ago saying that the club was having a Mickey Mouse breakfast and we were all going. So we all went Saturday morning to BCC to eat breakfast with Mickey. Nate and I thought he was going to be terrified but instead he walked right up and sat in between Mickey and Minnie. It was so cute. He just kept telling us thats a big Mickey Mouse! They had MM Clubhouse playing on tv while we were eating. It was a fun special treat! Thank you Cookie and Doc!!



This past weekend we headed back to the farm. The weather was perfect!! It was beautiful and warm but the terrible bugs weren't out yet! Nate's parents couldn't make it with us so we asked Cookie to come. Doc was out of town so she joined us at the farm. I was so glad she got to see Whit playing at the farm bc he is so happy there and it is just wonderful. I was glad to have the help as always! We had a fun weekend just enjoying the weather and the lazy life of the farm!

Charlie at 4 Months

Charlie is 4 months old today! He weighs 14 lbs (15%) and is 24 1/2 in (10%). The doctor said we could start food now if we want but since he is eating enough and sleeps i think I am just going to wait! He is sleeping great now. He eats his last bottle at 6:45 and then goes down and I get him out of his bed to go to school about 6:45. Usually he is awake but just hanging out. Naps are not very consistent bc of his school schedule. At school he will nap for about 2 1/2 hours in the morning but its in the swing. In the afternoon he is on and off. I am trying to get them to move to the crib for naps bc it has messed him up on the weekends some. At home I try and put him down around 9am and then again about 12:30-1.
He eats 4, 8 oz bottles a day. The last bottle of the day is a mix of formula and rice cereal to make his tummy good and full. He loves it!
He rolls around on the playmat a lot. He gets from his back to his belly easily but still doesn't know how to get back over to his back. He loves looking in the mirror at himself! He has started grabing his rings on his carseat a lot more now and pulls his toes to his face all the time. He loves his baths and would cuddle all day if he could. He is not really into a paci which is fine by me but does love his blankie. He is a boy and loves to be outside!
He is still a very smiley baby and has the most precious laugh. Although he is really happy we have major crying issues. This child does not want to be put down. If I am home and he knows I am around he cries until I hold him. It is very annoying. He also HATES his car seat. Any time he gets in the car seat he screams. You can only imagine how enjoyable car rides are. I am not looking forward to the farm trip and beach trip we have coming up. I am not really sure what to do about this issue. Not fun! It also makes going on walks hard bc he doesn't love it like whit did. If its around nap time or in the afternoons and I know he didn't sleep much at school then i will usually go then. If he is awake he will cry the whole time. For this momma who has to run/walk as much as possible we are in a bad situation!
All these bad quirks will soon go away I am sure and I will be wishing for his younger days :) At least I tell myself this! If anyone has any suggestions let me know!
He is such a sweet little boy though and oh so cute. I just love his little dark skin, dark hair and his whatever color eyes he has(gray?!). He is so precious and I love this little man soo much! His brother Whit thinks he is pretty cute too. Some of my favorite moments are when whit looks at him and says "hey chawie" Love these boys with my whole heart and I love each and every milestone we go through!

Just a Spring Weekend

This weekend was nice bc we did not have much of an agenda. Well I didn't. Since the house is on the market we never know what is going to happen on the weekends. Mae Mae and JD came in town so Saturday while the big boys played golf I took the little boys to play with Cookie and Mae Mae. When the boys got home Whit got to ride his bike at Cookie and Docs and he peddled all by himself. It was so fun watching his face bc he was so proud of himself and did not stop grinning! He is such a big boy!!
My Charlie boy is getting big too. He rolls from his back to his tummy all the time and once he is there he is not a happy camper. I want him to learn to go back bc I could let him play for a while but now he rolls and gets mad! It will come soon enough.
Sunday daddy left to go to the Masters so we got to go to the zoo with Deedee. Jill and Collins joined us too! It was a beautiful day! Whit is at a fun age bc everything is soooo exciting and he shows it on his face!

Easter

I love Easter! It is such a beautiful time of year and it just brings new beginnings for everyone! Whit was sick last week so we actually got to make some Easter cookies for his friends! I love that he actually helped me this time. Friday we were out of school and off work so we got to hang out all day at Cookie and Docs house. For Easter we made it to church at 9:30 and were all surprisingly put together! Cookie made Whit a new outfit. We were a little late in getting started so we did a simple shirt with a beautiful A hand embroidered on the collar in blue. I did an A so that both boys can use it. I am so thankful that Cookie will make these beautiful things for my boys. Charlie wore the gown she made that they come home from the hospital in. After church we went to Cookie and Docs and enjoyed a wonderful lunch! Whit enjoyed looking for eggs and loved all his Mickey Mouse items that the bunny brought to Cookies house. The Easter bunny left swim suits and swim shirts so we are ready for the beach! It was a wonderful laid back Easter!! My pictures are terrible. Hopefully I can get some from dads camera!
