weekend

Over the weekend Nate and I were finally able to get away for the first time in over a year by ourselves! We went to Highlands to enjoy the fall weather and it was great! We ate yummy food, hiked and just enjoyed relaxing. Of course my camera was dead(whats new) so I do not have one picture. Whit got to stay Friday night with Cookie and Doc and Saturday night with Deedee and Jimbo. Needless to say he was not unloved one single bit. He had so much fun playing all weekend and was exhausted when we got home Sunday! We are so thankful to have both of our parents in town and that they are willing to always help out with him. It was a great weekend but we missed our little buddy so much!
On another note we stopped in Atlanta on our way back to see Harper Kate be dedicated. It was a special time for everyone. It was such a great reminder to me that we are all here for a purpose and the Lord knows exactly what it is. Sweet girl should not even be here but she is and I cannot wait to see her great purpose played out for us to see! She is amazing and I was happy to be a part of the day to dedicate her back to the Lord who has shown us HIS hand through her life.

First Halloween

We had a happy first halloween!! Whit didn't care at all that he had his costume on ALL day. At school in the morning they went trick or treating room to room and then had his party in the afternoon. It was so cute to see them having their "party" in their highchairs. Then we went trick or treating to end the night! It was a festive day and our little tiger slept so good last night after a long fun day!

How funny is this!

11 months

We are almost there! I can't believe it! Whit is getting so big. He is so much fun right now. Our little shy boy just laughs and is happy most of the time. He is such a good baby and i am very thankful for that. he plays well by himself and easily entertains himself. he is getting closer to walking and will stand for longer periods of time by himself. i know one day he is just going to pop up! yesterday he went from sitting to standing 2 times! i feel like he is starting to look more like a toddler than a little baby. i just love watching him grow and his personality evolve! he is like his daddy in a lot of ways but is definitely more calm than nate was when he was little. i just see nate so much but maybe its just bc he is such a little boy.
he loves to push everything. anything he can find he pushes. the dining room chairs, the laundry basket, the stool, ANYTHING. its so funny. he still loves dogs, watching the washing machine go, being outside, playing peek a boo, and drinking milk.
while on the subject of milk he does drink all whole milk now. he loves it! we are still not liking sippy cups. i have bought every kind known to man and he does not like them. so we are still working on that. in the area of food we are not doing so hot. he hates all vegetables and will not try any new foods i put on his plate. he loves fruits though. he loves mandrin oranges, pears, apples and bananas. he likes cheese but only the white kind. no chedder :) i have tried to give him so many new things to try and its not working! i do not know what to do. so therefore we still eat baby food bc i feel like he needs the nutrients from veggies. its driving me crazy though bc i am ready to be done with baby food! what do i do? He also has finally gotten more teeth! He now has 8!
he makes a lot of noise but we are no where close to saying words. EVERYTHING is guh. it can be just guh or it can be guh, guh, guh. but seriously that is the only thing he says. no dada or mama anywhere close. maybe one day we will say something else!
he is a precious mess and we laugh at him a lot. he provides cheap and easy entertainment whereever we go!

he weighs about 23.5 lbs

Early Birthday Present

We decided to go ahead and give Whit his birthday present early. A red wagon! We wanted to be able to enjoy the weather before it turned too cold! He loves it so much. He wants to ride all the time. His daddy loves to take him in it. They go for miles in the wagon. I am so glad we went ahead and gave it to him bc we sure are enjoying it!

please ignore his crazy hair in this pic :)

this picture makes me so happy!

Happy Fall!!

We celebrated the start to fall with pumpkins! Whits school has a fundraiser for the ELC selling pumpkins. I was volunteering on Saturday and convinced Nate to bring Whit so we could take pictures in the pumpkin patch. If you need pumpkins they have the best! They have the pretty Cinderella ones, white ones and plain orange ones. They are so cheap too!! So please go buy your pumpkins at the patch! Precious place for pictures too.

Weekend at the Farm

We went to the farm this weekend with Nate's extended family. It was so much fun! It is so hard to get everyone together so we enjoyed spending time with his cousins, grandmother, aunt and uncle! Whit was great all weekend. Its just always iffy when you are away from his normal but he played hard and slept great at night! His favorite thing the whole weekend was riding the mule and once he figured it out that was all he wanted to do. He would say guh guh guh = go go go! He also loved being with all the dogs. Like  I have said dog is the only thing he recognizes and puts a name with. So we talked to the "guh" a lot!! Maybe one day he will put dada with nate and mama with me but for now we like the dog :) Aunt Mae Mae gave us our overalls for Christmas last year and they were perfect! We will be getting the next size as soon as we can bc nothing else would have worked for playing like we did! Thank you Mae Mae!! We love the farm so much and I am always thankful for a restful weekend there!!
