Happy Friday!

8 months

Whit was 8 months on July 22nd. Once again life is flying by! He is such a big boy. He crawls EVERYWHERE! He is really fast. He has a little separation anxiety and does not like it when you are not in the same room with him even if he is totally occupied with something else. He is getting better though with this.  He stands up easily and thinks he has way more balance than he really does bc he will all of a sudden let go of whatever he is holding on to thinking he can stand. He stands in his crib all the time. We still are struggling with real food. He gags on everything. I try puffs and yogurt melts but he still does not like them. I did give him a nila waffer and he loved that to gum on! We are really at 3 meals a day now. Oatmeal, fruit and milk for bfast around 7:30; veggie, fruit and milk at 11:30ish; yogurt snack at 3:30(sometimes some milk); 2 jars of something at about 6 and bedtime bottle at 7. His favorite food is yogurt. We love all flavors of YoBaby! We sing the blessing "Oh the Lord is good to me..." and he just smiles every time. It is so funny! He does not really like a sippy cup. He would prefer me to take the lid off and give him sips.
He still naps in the morning and afternoon. His times vary. He has never been a great napper! Night time is still 7pm bedtime. He wakes up early but either plays or goes back to sleep til about 6:30/6:45.
I am not really sure his height and weight bc we do not go to the doctor until 9 months but when we went with his staph infection a few weeks ago he weighed a little over 20 lbs.
He still has not said any words but he does say some sounds like d and g.
His favorite things are yogurt, blankie, the rocking tiger in his room, annabelle(any dogs), pulling up on anything he can reach, and baths. He is really hilarious these days! He will have a very serious moment followed by a giggle. He is on the move and will not be still as you can see from these pictures I attempted! (how do you get them to sit still!!)

Saturday night Whit decided he was going to have a fit in the middle of the night. I have no idea what caused this but he was not a happy camper. The only thing that settled my baby was laying on my shoulder. I rocked him back to sleep and just held on to him. As I rocked I told myself that these times are so short and it did not matter that I was missing an hour of sleep. He needed his mommy and I am so thankful that I can sit and rock him during these times bc I know soon he will be too big and will want nothing to do with me. I found myself just praying for him. Praying for his sweet heart, praying the Lord would give Nate and I the wisdom to raise a godly man, and praying that he would become a child of God at a young age. In the quiet of his room I cherished this moment bc all too soon it was gone and he was back asleep in his crib for the rest of the night. I love this little man so much!

Nothing new

We have been pretty boring lately... nothing new going on in our household. The weekends have been low key. We are just counting down until we get to go to the beach with my family! The only thing that may have changesd is that Whit is on the move and goes everywhere fast!!! But even though we haven't done much I still take pictures to remember these times in the years to come. They are all off my phone so the quality is terrible but its the closest thing to me most of the time.

4th weekend

Our weekend was very uneventful. We stayed home and just hung out all weekend. It was kinda nice not having an agenda. We started Friday by going to the pediatrician bc Whit had a place on his belly that I was thinking was staph.... it was. So we have been on antibiotics and cream for his staph infection. Not fun! He has decided he is ready to go so he is crawling everywhere!!! This makes it hard to get anything done but it is so cute. So the rest of the weekend we just played. We went to the pool, hung out with Aunt Mae Mae and relaxed. On the 4th we celebrated at the pool and did dinner with the Walker family! Nothing too exciting but I feel like we had a long weekend at home so I can't ask for anything better!

Time with Friends

I love my friends and I love getting to spend time with them! Supper Club at Nat's last week was so fun. Thanks Nat for wonderful food, atmosphere and great company. We did miss a few others: my hubby, Paige, J and Sam, and Molly!

Saturday we had Hannie's Bday party. It was supposed to be at the park but the thunder clouds rolled in and Meg decided to have it at their house instead. Of course it was perfect there too! I cannot believe Han is 2. She is so sweet and so fiesty too! Love her like my own. Happy Birthday Hannie!

7 months

Whit turned 7 months yesterday! He wants to go so so bad. He figured out crawling a little bit on Sunday but it seems as if he forgot bc he hasn't done it since! We had to lower the crib last night bc i was terrified after watching him on the monitor pull up on the side rails. He is just getting so big! He eats about 4 jars of 2nd foods a day with 4 6oz bottles of milk. He loves food still. There is nothing he won't eat right now. He is pretty content playing on a mat for a while which is kinda nice. He is growing out of all of his clothes. He needs 12 to 18 month pjs and 12 month in clothes. He just chats when he is happy and it is so funny. Sometimes he talks back and forth if you "talk" back to him. His favorite thing is still to be outside. I try and stroll with him in the afternoons but it is soo hot. He goes to sleep about 6:45-7pm and wakes up usually about 5 something but he is just talking to himself and playing. Then he usually goes back to sleep about 6 and wakes up at 6:45 or 7am. He has his 2 bottom teeth but no other ones yet. They are all the way in though. He is a mess and all boy!
