Weekend at the Farm

We went to the farm this weekend with Nate's extended family. It was so much fun! It is so hard to get everyone together so we enjoyed spending time with his cousins, grandmother, aunt and uncle! Whit was great all weekend. Its just always iffy when you are away from his normal but he played hard and slept great at night! His favorite thing the whole weekend was riding the mule and once he figured it out that was all he wanted to do. He would say guh guh guh = go go go! He also loved being with all the dogs. Like  I have said dog is the only thing he recognizes and puts a name with. So we talked to the "guh" a lot!! Maybe one day he will put dada with nate and mama with me but for now we like the dog :) Aunt Mae Mae gave us our overalls for Christmas last year and they were perfect! We will be getting the next size as soon as we can bc nothing else would have worked for playing like we did! Thank you Mae Mae!! We love the farm so much and I am always thankful for a restful weekend there!!

10 Months

Today is a good day bc whit is 10 months and its also daddys birthday!! we love nate so much and he is such a good daddy to whit so Happy Birthday to Nate!
We are almost at a year now. Crazy! I feel like there are not a lot of changes between the months now but I know it is just because I am so used to him. I do not think he will be walking soon. He is great at pushing toys but he is just still a little un balanced so we probably have a few more months. We are still working on real food. It is not going very well. He loves mandrin oranges though! I also buy the fruit cup with apple cubes with no sugar added and he eats them up! We struggle with veggies though :( Some days he loves peas but the next he hates them. I am just praying it will kinda happen on its own. We are also working on whole milk. He hates it! I am really surprised bc I have not had an issue ever with him on switching from breast milk to formula and he could care less what brand of formula. We will keep working though!
He is doing so much better at school so I am happy about that! He doesn't cry as much and he is getting to be a better friend :)
His sounds are getting more distinct which I love. I feel like sometimes he can understand me!! His new favorite is the  "g" sound.
He loves bath time, his "dog" book, his blankie, swinging, pushing anything on the ground, Wheel of Fortune, crawling on our bed, the washer and dryer, and loves when mommy and daddy are both at home!!
Oh Whit man you bring such joy to our lives and we love that you make us laugh every day!!!
Seriously I cannot get him to sit still to take pictures. It is hilarious! Last night when I was taking the pictures he was belly laughing playing with the elephant jumping up and down on the chair. So I guess it will do just to remember how hard it was to get him to take a picture. how do you people do it!!!!

Laughing so hard bc he gets to jump up and down!

thinking it is hilarious to fall

we moved to the floor to avoid a tumble

And we are done with pictures...

Weekend Again

Well I am back with picture from teh weekend. This is the only time we do anything so I guess thats why these are the only pictures i have! Auburn game at Hunter and Brits was so fun. Seriously Auburn is going to give me a heart attack! Then we went to play with HK! Sunday Whit got to play with his daddy alll day long while I went to Oxford to see Mae Mae and Kitty! It was so fun and I am grateful that Nate kept Whit for me!

He looks so old here!

Hannie and "it" love each other so much. I love seeing them together!

Whit wants to know why she is wearing Crimson?!

Weekend Recap

Well we had a very uneventful Labor Day weekend but it was nice to have nothing on the agenda! It was also nice that we had rain bc that meant daddy could not play golf :) We watched football all day on Saturday at the Walker house! Thankfully the Tigers pulled it out! Then Sunday and Monday we just played. Nothing to do in the rain! I am thankful for the rain and the cooler weather it brought! Here are some pictures to recap the weekend.
Ready for the game!

Just watching the rain

Lots of Daddy time!

Update

Well just to update on "school".... we have not made it through one full week yet. 2 weeks ago I got a call to come pick him up bc he had a flea on him(that is a whole other story that I don't want to talk about). So we missed one day of school then. Last week I got a call on Wednesday that he had 3 bad diapers before 12 and the rule is that he has to be free for 24 hours. So apparently we had some bug and he was "sick" until Saturday. He did not feel bad at all but we could not get the diapers under control :)
Thankfully mom kept him Thursday and Friday Mrs Marion came!!! I was so happy to see her and she was thrilled to see her "Whit Bug". So I am praying for a full week at school bc he NEEDS to get used to it! He apparently is not the friendliest child and would prefer to play by himself. He cries a lot so we really need to get used to our new normal.
On another note, daddy was out of town all weekend and we missed him so much! But we did get to spend lots of time with Cookie and played hard with mom. He is the happiest child when he is playing by himself :) I read a book to him this weekend with a dog in it and he says the "d" sound every time you turn to that page!!

9 months

Whit is 9 months old! Such a big boy! He is so funny and I feel like his personality is coming out. He is a very serious baby when he is not just at home with us. He observes everything and is very aware of people. It is really funny to watch. At home he giggles and plays but as soon as we go somewhere he becomes calm and quiet. He is still eating about the same that he was at 8 months. I have really started trying to introduce big boy food though. He does not love it all but we are working on it. He does like cheerios, baby goldfish and puffs. We need to work on the sippy cup some more too! He finally got another tooth. One of his top front teeth finally popped through the skin this weekend. These teeth are giving us fits! They make him feel so bad.
He is wearing 18 month in pajamas but in most things probably a 12 month would fit. I am really having a hard time knowing sizes bc the legs for 18 month are so long but 12 month just won't do. He is all over the place and can get from one point to another in the blink of an eye. He can now walk with the push toy around the den. He also let go and stood by himself the other day for a few seconds! I wonder if he is going to walk soon?! His consonant sounds are coming out a little more now. He says the  "d" sound well but doesn't put it with a word or anything. I am trying really hard to get him to say dada. He is growing up so fast and is more precious every day! These pictures are terrible but its the best I can do! Maybe I will try again later. We go to the doctor next week for our 9 month check up.

Happy Face

One of the funniest parts about Whit being at school is picking him up. It is funny to me to see what he has on. I take a change of clothes obviously but 9 times out of 10 he has messed that outfit up too. He is such a happy boy when I get him and clearly he does not care what he has on but i think it is hilarious! This week we are 1 for 4 in coming home in the same clothes we went in. Last week I think we were 2 for 5. It makes me so happy to know that he is thrilled when mommy gets him at the end of a day!

The one day this week he came home in what he was sent in

This was the 2nd day of school and he was in the stroller when i got there and i honestly did not recognize him!
